Over the past year, Kumfy Koatz has donated more than $23,000 of Kumfy Tailz cooling and warming harnesses to shelters and rescues across the country. Shelters use the harness:
1. to treat dogs with hyper and hypothermia
2. to provide comfort to scared animals and those in shock
3. to reduce post-op swelling and cover stitches
4. to send home with some adoptive parents
Kelly was sent a Kumfy Koatz harness to test and for us to review.
The harness that has an ice pack or heat pack insert so that you dog can maintain optimum body temperatures in extreme weather. Freeze the ice pack in your freezer or warm the heat pack in your microwave. Then slip the pouch into the harness pocket, and your dog is ready to go.
Measuring instructions help you determine the appropriate size. We ordered a medium, and it was a perfect fit for Kelly. I found the harness extremely easy to put on her, also. And there is a loop to attach a leash if you want.
Kelly seemed to like the feel of the harness. We took her outside and she ran around in the little bit of snow we had. I can't really tell if the harness helped her to feel warmer or not, but she enjoyed her play time outside. I'm especially excited to use this in the summer, because I know the heat really bothers Kelly. Keeping her cool with such an easy to use harness would be a huge bonus.
